CURRENT EXHIBITION
THROUGH A GLASS DARKLY: MIRRORS AND VANITY
September 18 - January 14
Opening Reception: September 18, 5-7pm
Friends Artspace is pleased to present its inaugural exhibition, Through a Glass Darkly: Mirrors and Vanity, featuring the familiar objects of our foyers and bedrooms reimagined.
Friends extends an invitation to see ourselves more clearly through playful interpretations of reflection and vanity. Mirrors provide the perfect nexus to integrate the viewer with the artist, to obscure and distort reality. Or, to expand it.
Through a Glass Darkly touches on the rich tradition of Murano glass and celebrates contemporary design through the revelatory work of Adiskidan Ambaye & Jomo Tariku, Anna Aagaard Jensen, Misha Kahn, Sabine Marcelis & Brit van Nerven, Lucia Massari, Léa Mestres, Ongaro & Fuga, Eun-Ha Paek, Isabel Rower, Lukas Saint-Joigny, and Laura Soto.
Please join us at the opening September 18, 5-7 pm, or make an appointment to visit at a later date.
